MICHELLE THOMAS (IxChel Moon)
Michelle (IxChel Moon, pronounced ish-chel) is a dedicated Adult and Kids Yoga Teacher, Mindfulness-Based Wellness Coach, Meditation Coach, Sound Healer, Reiki Master, and Shamanic Practitioner. Her work bridges trauma-informed wellness, mindfulness education, and earth-based healing traditions to support emotional balance, resilience, and self-connection for individuals of all ages.
Her journey began in childhood, shaped by personal trauma and a lack of emotional coping tools. Through mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, meditation, and holistic healing practices, Michelle discovered a path that not only transformed her own life but awakened a calling to guide others back to balance, empowerment, and inner peace.
With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, Michelle brings a deep understanding of stress, nervous system overload, and emotional resilience into her work. This lived experience allows her to hold grounded, safe space for those navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, and major life transitions. Her mission is rooted in becoming the support she once needed and now offers to others.
Michelle is the founder of A’HO Wellness Solutions, a holistic wellness sanctuary created to support both adults and children in learning practical, accessible tools to manage stress and anxiety in a positive, empowering way.
She is the creator of Mindful Moves for Kids on Long Island, an initiative through which she partners with the Police Athletic League (PAL) to bring yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation to children across Nassau County. Through this program, Michelle teaches in community and PAL-supported settings, offering children, teens, and special-needs youth tools for emotional regulation, body awareness, confidence, and self-connection in a safe, supportive environment.
In addition to her work with youth through Mindful Moves for Kids, Michelle also teaches yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation to police recruits at the Nassau County Police Academy, supporting future officers in developing resilience, emotional awareness, and healthy stress-management tools as they enter a high-pressure profession.
Alongside her community and youth work, Michelle offers specialized yoga classes, mindfulness sessions, shamanic and energy healing, and wellness workshops for adults navigating the demands of modern life. Her offerings support stress reduction, nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and spiritual alignment through restorative yoga, guided meditation, sound healing, Reiki, and shamanic energy work.
Michelle’s shamanic practice is informed by Andean and earth-based traditions. She has studied shamanic journeying, healing, and medicine practices with Shaman Roel Crabbe (Belgium), received medicine teachings from Shamans Ernesto and Aurora in Belize, and currently walks in guided practice with Shaman Oswal, working with the Pachakuti Mesa and Andean energetic medicine, alongside continued guidance in Andean healing traditions. This lineage-based support ensures her work remains grounded, respectful, and aligned with the wisdom of the earth.
Michelle’s work is a testament to the transformative power of holistic healing and compassionate guidance. Through A’HO Wellness Solutions, she is devoted to supporting adults and children in releasing stress, healing emotional wounds, and cultivating lives rooted in resilience, balance, and inner peace.
